Part 2. Eleven Qualities of Servant Leadership

Read the article, "Eleven Qualities of Servant Leadership" by William Miller’s article in the Guide to Leadership Practices - Part 1. 

Reflect on the three questions at the end of the article. Record your reflections. 

• Which of these qualities do you consider your greatest strengths as a pastoral leader?
• Which of these qualities do you want to improve or enhance as a pastoral leader?
• How can you develop a personal learning plan to strengthen the areas you identified for growth as a pastoral leader?

Prepare Assignment 1. Servant Leadership: Your Guiding Vision of Christian Leadership

Using the scripture passages in “Servant Leadership in the Bible,” the article “Eleven Qualities of Christian Leadership,” and your own leadership experience, write a 1-2 page statement of the vision of Christian leadership that guides your life. Feel free to include scripture verses, quotes for authors, etc. The key is that it is your personal statement that guides your life.
